Our mission is to give care, compassion and enrichment to the dogs in Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter. Your time and efforts will aide in increased adoptions and finding homes for all dogs! We are committed to providing consistent, reliable, and professional solutions for animal related problems which encourage responsible attitudes and allow people and animals to co-exist in a safer environment.
This program was created to give our shelter dogs some much needed time away from the shelter and time to decompress. It also provides them with the opportunity to get new eyes on them and (hopefully) someone interested in adopting.
But it also allows you to get some one on one 'dog time' in especially if you aren't allowed pets, not sure if you're ready for a dog or just thinking about adopting.
You must be 18+ or older. Parents are allow to bring their children (10+ and up).
You must have the dog out no shorter than a 2 hour window (hopefully the afternoon!) and follow our field trip rules.
We provide you with all the supplies you need.
Outside of that? Just have a great time!
